Hydrogen & Oil Seals Development in Industrial Gas Turbines and Generators: Research on the materials characterization of novel seal concepts to address challenges of high speed hydrogen and oil sealing. Resolved material issues to optimize the brush seal stiffness.
Development of Flexible Gas Turbine Combustor Seals: Addressed oxidation, creep and high cycle fatigue related issues of superalloy cloth seals for gas turbine combustors. Optimized the seal design parameters to minimize wear and leakage.
